Spoofmark

Terms of service

Last updated: 8 November 2026

1. Who we are

Spoofmark is a trading name of Averlane Systems Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17556191, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person or organisation using the service. Your contract for the service is with us. You can reach us at hello@spoofmark.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By ordering the service, or by continuing to use it, you agree to these terms. If you order for an organisation, you confirm that you can agree to them on its behalf.

3. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes payment, charges VAT, issues your invoice and handles refunds, under its buyer terms at paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms. Questions about the service itself come to us.

4. The service

For each domain on your plan, we:

You, or your IT provider, make the DNS changes. We never log in to your systems, ask for your passwords or change your DNS ourselves.

5. What the service cannot do

DMARC lets receiving mail servers refuse email that uses your exact domain without passing the checks. Not every server applies it, and it does not cover lookalike domains or a mailbox that someone has broken into. We cannot promise that no fraudulent email will reach anyone, and reaching an enforcing policy within 30 days depends on your own email systems passing the checks. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, but we will put faults right as soon as we reasonably can.

6. Price, renewal and cancelling

The price is £39 a month or £390 a year for each domain, plus VAT. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through paddle.net or by emailing us. The plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. We may change the price by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email, and a new price applies from your first renewal after the notice ends. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

7. Using the service properly

Add only domains that you own or are authorised to manage, and keep your contact email address up to date. You must not use the service or the website:

8. Suspending or ending the service

We may suspend or end the service, telling you first where we can, if you materially breach these terms, if a payment fails and is not put right, if there is a risk of fraud or to security, or if you breach these terms repeatedly or seriously. If we end the service when you have done nothing wrong, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

9. Our intellectual property

We own the service, the website, our reports and the software behind them. You may use the reports and records we send you for your own organisation.

10. Data

Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data. Where DMARC reports about your domain contain personal data, we process it as your processor, on these terms. We act only on your instructions, which are these terms. We keep it confidential and secure. We use only service providers bound by equivalent terms, and we will tell you before adding a new one, so that you can object by cancelling. We help you respond to requests from individuals and meet your own security and breach obligations. We tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting it. We delete it within 90 days after your plan ends. We give you the information you need to check that we are doing all of this.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited.

If you use the service for a business: we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss; we are not liable for loss caused by email that other people send; and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months.

If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. These terms do not affect your legal rights.

12. Consumers' right to cancel

If you buy as a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of your order and get a full refund. Our refund policy goes further, and applies to every payment.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects customers, we will email them at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then if you do not agree.

14. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
